St Chad’s Mother’s Union meets at 2pm in Poulton Methodist Church Hall on Queensway every 4th Wednesday and the Evening group meets on the 2nd Tuesday at 7.30pm in Teanlowe 60+ Community Centre. We have Corporate Communion the first Tuesday in the month in St Chad’s at 10.00 am except in August.
The Mothers' Union is a global movement, present in 84 countries and our members are not all mothers, or even all women. They are single, married, parents, grandparents, or young adults just beginning to express their social conscience. Our vision is to show our Christian faith by helping the sustainable transformation of communities worldwide.
We aim to: encourage parents in their role to develop the faith of their children, maintain a worldwide fellowship of Christians united in prayer, worship and service, promote conditions in society favourable to stable family life and the protection of children, help those whose family life has met with adversity, promote and support married life.
So if you’d like to join us-our next meeting is on Wednesday January 25th at 2pm when Bill ward will talk about his work in medical training in Nigeria. We will have a raffle to raise money for our overseas members or join us on Tuesday February 14th at 7.30 when we will hear Jean Cooke talking about poems for Valentine’s Day.
